Ibeyi, French-Cuban twins Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Díaz, use their confidently angelic voices to reflect, pray, meditate and resist all while honoring their Yoruba culture as they seamlessly merge those sounds with a handful of other genres. I always liked this song, but liked it even more after hearing the intention behind its creation. Lisa-Kaindé wrote the track for her twin Naomi as the duo look alike but act much different. "Sometimes I want to be like Naomi. I want her eyes, to feel the rhythm as deeply as she does, to dance like her, to be as wild as she is; sometimes I just want to be her for even a few seconds."
